I know what you’re thinking. Why, Anna, why are you talking about holiday stuff already? BECAUSE I CAN! And because I truly have your best interests in mind. Why wait until the last minute to order a generic holiday card that is just going to get lost in the shuffle and, let’s be honest, be tossed out with the junk mail. I’m planting this little seed of an idea in your head now so that you can get a jump start on your unique marketing items that will set you apart during this holiday season. I have a few ideas to get all of you started, all of which can be provided by Aberlewest Design & Marketing. *Hint *Hint
Do you know what almost every human being loves? Candy. Do you know what is super easy to put your logo on? Candy. Do you know how many of our diets end after summer and begin again in January because, ‘It’s the holiday season and I can’t say no to all of the delicious treats’. I hope we are on the same page here. What is a better way to get your name out there and circulating than to put your logo on candy? No one can pass up candy, especially during the holidays.
Another way to set your business apart during the holiday season is to give your website a holiday themed make over. Why stop at falling snowflakes during Christmas? Start in October with a Halloween theme, follow it up in November with some dancing turkeys, continue on into December with some reindeer and holly, and even get a little crazy and bring in the new year with a nicely designed and decorated webpage with champagne and a countdown clock. You should try anything that will draw your customers attention and keep them coming back for more.
Something else to consider would be holiday themed promotions for your business. Have a Spooktacular sale, a Black Friday sale, or go all out with a 12 days of Christmas sale. You know what would be great for your customers to mark all of these fantastic sales on? A calendar. Have a unique calendar created for your business to give to your customers. That is a guaranteed year that your logo will be visible on someone’s wall, or desk, or refrigerator, or wherever else people keep their calendars.
Finally, the ‘mac daddy’ of all things holiday and marketing. Can you guess what it is? I bet you can! HOLIDAY CARDS! You can read my earlier blog on holiday cards to see why I think they are so great, but today I wanted to tell you what Aberlewest is doing this year to really help set your business apart from the rest. They want to partner with you to make holiday cards that are super custom to your business. What does that mean, Anna? Hold your horses and I’ll tell you. Imagine this: a Halloween card with your logo carved into a pumpkin, or a custom cartoon character based off of you wishing your customers Happy Thanksgiving or Merry Christmas. What about this: a chiropractor’s card depicts a scene of Santa getting an adjustment after lugging around his huge sack of toys or a pest control card depicts caroling critters. The design can be specific to you and your business. You can even add a personalized touch by digitizing your signature and having each card ‘signed’ by you and all of your staff.
Do me one favor, think outside of the box and consider all of the holidays this season: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, and everything in between. The possibilities are endless and Aberlewest wants to create and design the perfect holiday marketing item just for
